FUNCFOOD2 was a multidisciplinary post doc-programme carried out during the years 2011-2014. With a budget of 10 million SEK the programme financed five post doc positions.
The research within FUNCFOOD2 focused on dietary prevention of metabolic disorders including type 2 diabetes, obesity and impaired cognitive function. Food concepts with unique metabolic properties were developed and studied.
The FUNCFOOD2 projects were performed in close collaboration with AFC-projects.
